| I'm running the following wheel/tire combination: Front: 18x8.5 AVS5 245/40R18 Rear: 18x9.5 AVS5 275/35R18 These tire sizes with these wheels were recommended to me by a competent Z shop in San Jose. If I turn the wheel far left or right, I get significant rubbing on the rubber fender liner. On the passenger side the tire was actually rubbing the liner into the hose clamp on the outer portion of the intercooler hosing, and I punched a hole through the liner. I have since rotated the hose clamp so that the adjustment mechanism is away from the liner, which gave me enough room to avoid more damage to the liner or tire. But I still rub on both sides, and it sounds horrible. I am sort of getting the impression that my issue here is related to offset with these wheels, vs the stock wheels. If that sounds right, is this something any competent alignment shop can fix? I assume they'd put in a spacer or something then realign the car? Thanks for any info.
